Program Overview

The FFS Online program takes you through modules that you access through this protected Web site. These modules include valuable information and most of them contain an assignment that you are to complete before moving on. The assignments reinforce the messages in each lesson and your commitment to quit.

FFS Online does not begin with quitting. We believe that quitting smoking is a process, not a single event. We start by giving you solid information about preparing to quit, then guide you through your Quit Day and the first few weeks of being smokefree. Whether you’re enrolled in FFS Online Basic or FFS Online Premium, you progress through the modules until you complete the entire program. The beauty of FFS Online is that it can be accessed day or night, seven days a week, on any schedule you choose.

The FFS Online Basic program consists of seven modules, each containing several activities. The lessons and modules build upon one another, so you should begin with Module A, complete all activities in that module and then proceed to Module B, and so on. Each module will take 10-15 minutes to read, and most contain assignments for you to complete on your own. We recommend that you read each module and complete the activity before moving on to the next lesson. Ideally it will take you one week to complete each module. You may move through the lessons at your own pace; however, we recommend that you wait at least 24 hours before proceeding to the next module.

FFS Online Premium consists of eight numbered modules and each module contains several lessons. You should move through the lessons at the same pace as described above. Start with Module 1, Lesson 1 and wait about 24 hours before moving on to Module 1, Lesson 2. Premium Members also have access to the Message Boards, and we encourage you to visit them after completing each lesson. There is also a Certificate of Participation available for Premium Program members.
